Dan and Pat Pate

Dan and his wife Pat live in Bonham, TX. Both were blessed to be born into and raised in Christian homes.

Dan was born in Honey Grove and lived in Windom until graduating from East Texas State University in Commerce, TX. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Windom and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was seventeen years old. He does his best to live a life that is pleasing to Jesus by studying the Bible and setting an example for his family and friends.

Pat was born in Mesa, AZ. She lived in Odessa, TX until she was fourteen and then her family moved to Ector, TX. After graduating from high school, she met Dan and they were married in August 1969.

At this time, Dan was in the service and they spent a year and a half in Turkey. After returning to the states they made their home in Bonham. They became members of Trinity Baptist Church in Bonham in 1978. During a revival in 1987, Pat felt the Holy Spirit leading her to renew her vows with the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior even though she had accepted Him as Savior when she was eight years old in Odessa. She has always raised her two girls in church and also her grandkids. She has always told them accepting Christ as their Savior is the most important decision they will ever make in their life.

Dan and Pat both have a master's degree in education. Dan coached basketball and taught all levels of science in high school at Sam Rayburn ISD. Pat taught 5th and 6th grade math at Bonham ISD.

In 2001, they felt led to become members of NZBC. After retiring from teaching, the janitor's position became available. They have always worked and enjoy working together. It is something they can do to serve the Lord.

They have two daughters, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. All but he two year old have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
